Pike County judge charged with indecent assault at barber shop

HARRISBURG, PA — A Pike County magisterial district judge has been charged with indecent assault and related offenses following an incident at a Milford-area barber shop last August, according to Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday.

Paul Menditto, 70, of Bushkill, faces one misdemeanor count of indecent assault and two summary counts of disorderly conduct and harassment. He was released on his own recognizance after the charges were filed Friday.

The allegations stem from an August 2, 2024, visit to the barber shop where Menditto allegedly kissed a female employee on the neck without her consent. The incident reportedly occurred in the presence of several witnesses, investigators said.

“The alleged conduct is egregious and unlawful for anyone — let alone a sworn officer of the court who presides over criminal matters,” Attorney General Sunday said in a statement.

No further details about the case or Menditto’s judicial status have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
