Car crashes into Wendy’s in Nanuet; no injuries reported

NANUET, N.Y. — A driver accidentally crashed into a Wendy’s restaurant in Nanuet earlier Friday after mistakenly putting their car in drive instead of reverse, according to the Clarkstown Police Department.

The incident occurred earlier in the day at the fast-food location, but no injuries were reported. Clarkstown officers arrived at the scene shortly after the crash.

The vehicle struck the building but did not cause significant structural damage, allowing the restaurant to remain open for business. A building inspector from Clarkstown assessed the property to ensure its safety following the crash.

The Clarkstown Police Department shared details of the incident via its social media platforms, highlighting the fortunate outcome despite the unusual circumstances.

The Wendy’s location continued operating as usual, with no disruptions to customers or employees.
