Delaware State Police investigating armed robbery at Newark smoke shop

NEWARK, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday morning at the Four Seasons Tobacco Outlet on Plaza Drive.

At approximately 10:35 a.m., an unidentified man entered the store, jumped over the counter, and threatened an employee with a knife, police said. The suspect began stealing tobacco products and struck the employee before fleeing the scene.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing all black clothing. Authorities have not yet released surveillance footage or images related to the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have urged anyone with information to contact detectives.
