Lifetime Maryland Lottery player wins $50K on scratch-off

BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore man who has been playing Maryland Lottery games for over 50 years has finally hit the jackpot, winning a $50,000 top prize on a Money Money Money scratch-off ticket.

The loyal lottery player, who chose to remain anonymous and goes by the nickname “L.T.,” purchased two tickets at Billiards Plus on Liberty Road in Baltimore County. After scratching off the first ticket and finding it wasn’t a winner, the second ticket revealed the life-changing $50,000 prize, which he confirmed with a store employee.

Excited by his win, the Baltimore resident shared the news with his daughters. He plans to use the money to pay off health-related bills and split the remaining prize among his family.

The retailer, Billiards Plus, will also celebrate the win, receiving a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
