Teen arrested in connection with D.C. robbery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 16-year-old male from Northeast D.C. has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred on Friday, January 17, in the 1200 block of 15th Street, Northwest.

The incident unfolded around 3:53 p.m. when the suspect approached a woman walking in the area and forcibly took her property before fleeing the scene. Officers from the Second District issued a lookout for the suspect following the robbery.

A week later, on January 24, the Second District’s Crime Suppression Team identified an individual matching the suspect’s description while patrolling the area. The individual was stopped, confirmed to be the perpetrator, and subsequently arrested.

The juvenile suspect was charged with Robbery (Snatch). The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to assess the case.
