Armed suspects steal car in Southeast D.C. as police search for leads

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two masked suspects remain at large after a late-night carjacking in Southeast D.C., where a stolen vehicle and armed individuals prompted an urgent police investigation.

Officers responded around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, to the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, after receiving reports of a carjacking. Authorities said two black males wearing black ski masks approached the victim, with at least one suspect brandishing a weapon.

The suspects fled the scene in a black 2017 Honda Civic with Maryland tags, heading in an unknown direction. No further details have been released.
