Man found dead with facial trauma in Philadelphia, police investigating homicide

PHILADELPHIA — Police are investigating a homicide in the 12th District after officers discovered a man dead with severe facial injuries early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to the 6000 block of Allman Street around 3:12 a.m., where they found an unresponsive Black male, approximately 30 years old, suffering from trauma to the face.

The victim, identified as “John Doe,” was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel at 3:22 a.m.

Investigators have not yet determined a motive, and no arrests have been made.

The scene remains under investigation as police work to identify the victim and gather evidence
