Baltimore police arrest suspect in Eastern District carjacking

BALTIMORE — A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning in connection with a carjacking after officers tracked the stolen vehicle using license plate recognition technology.

Baltimore police said the alert was received around 11:04 a.m., leading Eastern District patrol officers to the 2400 block of East Biddle Street, where they saw the suspect exiting the vehicle.

The man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility for processing.

Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name or additional details about the carjacking.

Police continue to investigate the case as they work to determine any potential connections to other crimes.
