Leidos awarded $149 million Air Force contract for Project Night Owl

RESTON, Va. — Leidos Inc. has been awarded a $148.75 million firm-fixed-price contract to serve as the managed service provider for Project Night Owl, the Department of Defense announced.

The contract covers managed services support, including network, application, infrastructure, and security. Work will take place at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma and in Northern Virginia, with an expected completion date of February 2, 2030.

The contract was competitively procured, with seven offers received. The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is overseeing the contract, with $23.75 million in Fiscal Year 2024 research and development funds obligated at the time of the award.

Project Night Owl aims to enhance cybersecurity and IT infrastructure for the Air Force through long-term managed services support.
