NYPD Arrests Suspect in Heinous Child Rape Case

New York, NY – The New York City Police Department has apprehended Dominique Giles, a 30-year-old male, in connection with a heinous sexual assault case within the confines of the 121st Precinct. Giles is suspected of committing multiple offenses including Rape 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degree, Sex Abuse 1st Degree, Forcible Touching, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at approximately 5:38 AM. The crime occurred inside a residence near Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue, where Giles allegedly assaulted a 5-year-old female. Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Emergency Medical Services promptly responded to the scene and transported the young victim to Richmond University Medical Center for medical evaluation.

Authorities confirmed that Dominique Giles was arrested on February 4, 2025, in Harlem. He now faces charges for the crimes committed. The NYPD had previously urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that all tips could remain anonymous.
