Toms River Recreation offers Valentine’s cooking class for kids

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Recreation Department is hosting a hands-on cooking class for children in grades K-3 on Wednesday, February 12, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in collaboration with Chef It Up.

Participants will decorate a mini Valentine-themed cake to take home and create a fruit cupid kabob to enjoy during class. The event aims to provide a fun and interactive experience for young aspiring chefs.

The cost is $28 per child, and the workshop will take place at the Toms River Recreation Youth Services Building, located at 1505 North Bay Avenue.

Registration is still open at http://register.communitypass.net/tomsriver, and officials encourage parents to sign up before spots fill up.

The program is part of ongoing efforts by Toms River Recreation to offer engaging activities for children in the community.
