Prince George’s County man arrested in fatal shooting of girlfriend

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — A Prince George’s County man has been arrested and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend early Tuesday morning, according to police.

David Wilson Jr., 31, of Accokeek, is accused of killing 37-year-old Edna Lyles during an argument inside her home on Livingston Road in Fort Washington.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 12:15 a.m. and found Lyles suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the Prince George’s County Police Department said.

Wilson was taken into custody nearby by responding officers from the Fort Washington Division VII. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and is being held without bond at the Department of Corrections.
