Man Held Jail on $2,5000 Bond for Drug Possession in Ocean County has Detainer

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Jacobo Gonzalez-Cruz was booked into the Ocean County jail on Thursday following his arrest on a drug possession charge, according to inmate records. He has an active detainer out of Hamilton.

Gonzalez-Cruz, 35, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under New Jersey statute 2C:35-10A(1), which covers Schedule I through IV substances. The charge is classified as a third-degree offense.

Authorities took Gonzalez-Cruz into custody and processed him at the Ocean County Jail, where he remains held on a $2,500 bond with a 10 percent option. Jail records indicate the bond has not yet been posted.
