Police seek suspect in Columbus road rage shooting

COLUMBUS, OH — Detectives are searching for a suspect involved in a road rage shooting that occurred on October 18 on Sullivant Avenue, police said.

According to investigators, the incident happened near Clarendon Avenue when a driver committed an unknown traffic offense, angering another motorist in a black Chrysler 300 with heavily tinted windows. The suspect then fired a handgun into the rear of the victim’s vehicle before continuing westbound.

No injuries were reported, but police say they have been unable to obtain a description of the suspect due to the extreme tint on the vehicle’s windows.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspect or vehicle to contact Columbus Police Felony Assault Detective Ian Pruitt at 614-645-6394. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).
