Security cameras capture suspect in bold Northeast D.C. business robbery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect who implied he had a weapon while demanding cash from a Northeast D.C., business remains on the run after fleeing with stolen money.

The robbery occurred around 2:17 a.m. on Jan. 18 in the 4400 block of Benning Road NE. The suspect entered the establishment, threatened the cashier, and took money from the register before escaping.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
