Baltimore man arrested in double shooting that left two wounded

BALTIMORE, MD — A man accused of shooting two people in East Baltimore earlier this year has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, authorities announced.

The shooting occurred on Jan. 2 around 10:48 p.m. in the 2600 block of East Federal Street. Officers arrived to find a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Following an investigation, police identified 25-year-old Kahlil Calloway as the suspect. Officers arrested him on Jan. 28 and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
