Police seek suspect in subway assault on F train

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault on a northbound F train early Wednesday morning.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 12:05 a.m. as the train approached the 67th Avenue station. An unidentified individual struck a 26-year-old man in the face with an unknown metal object before the victim exited the train at 67th Avenue. The suspect remained on board.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and authorities have not released further details about the suspect.

The NYPD has released images of the individual and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

The attack remains under investigation as police work to identify and locate the suspect.
