Florida police assist in arrest of Tren de Aragua gang member, criminal alien

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — Florida law enforcement assisted federal agents in the arrests of two criminal aliens over the weekend, including a suspected member of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang, a violent Venezuelan prison gang recently designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (#YourFDLE) worked alongside Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tampa and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Miami to apprehend the suspects in Osceola and Orange counties.

Officials have not released the names of the individuals or details of their charges, but authorities confirmed that one of the arrested individuals is linked to Tren de Aragua, which has been expanding its criminal operations across the U.S.
