Teen shot and killed in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed over the weekend, prompting a homicide investigation, officials said.

The shooting occurred Saturday shortly before 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Holeclaw Street. Officers arrived to find the teen suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of Monday, authorities have not identified a suspect or released details about what led to the shooting.

Police are withholding the victim’s name due to his age. The investigation remains ongoing.
