New Jersey Man Found Dead, Shot in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 38-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Brooklyn, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 5724 Beverley Road in East Flatbush at approximately 1:16 a.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Brandon Sylvester, 38, of Englewood, N.J.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are continuing to search for suspects in the deadly Brooklyn shooting.
