Lakewood Power Outage: When Is The Power Coming Back On?

Lakewood Police Department, NJ - File Photo.

LAKEWOOD, N.J. — Severe weather has left 3,500 homes without power across Lakewood, with utility crews en route to assess the damage and begin repairs.

Officials have not provided an estimated time for restoration, particularly in areas along Route 9 and the Country Place neighborhood. Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is urging residents to stay off the roads when possible to allow crews to move freely and complete necessary repairs.

According to outage reports, 1,577 customers remain affected as JCP&L continues its damage assessment. “Estimated restoration times will be available once crews assess damage,” the utility stated. The cause of the outages remains under investigation.

Emergency officials are monitoring conditions as JCP&L crews work to restore power to affected neighborhoods.
