Man fatally shot inside Brooklyn building; suspect at large

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed inside a building at 857 Atlantic Avenue in Clinton Hill, police said.

Officers from the 88th Precinct responded to the scene and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency medical services transported him to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

Authorities continue to search for the shooter as the city grapples with ongoing gun violence.
