High Winds Topple Tree onto Holmdel Home

Holmdel, NJ – This weekend’s powerful windstorm sent a large tree crashing through the roof of a Holmdel home on Monday, leaving the structure unsafe for its occupants. Fortunately, the three residents inside escaped without injury.

The storm brought widespread damage throughout Holmdel Township, knocking down trees and power lines across the area. Officials are urging residents to report any fallen trees or wires and to avoid approaching or touching any downed power lines, which may still be live.

For those without power, Holmdel Town Hall is open as a warming center and charging station to assist residents during the outage.
