Macon County authorities searching for missing 16-year-old girl

MACON COUNTY, NC – The Macon County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 16-year-old Shelby Maelynne Douglass-Cyphers, who is believed to have run away from her home on Sunday, February 16.

Shelby is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with long brown hair featuring blonde highlights and brown eyes. Authorities believe she left on foot.

The Macon County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit is asking anyone with information about Shelby’s whereabouts to call 828-349-2076 or Macon County dispatch at 828-524-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
