GAITHERSBURG, PA – A Montgomery County man who occasionally plays Racetrax for fun scored big on Feb. 18, winning $140,903 on a $1 Superfecta quick-pick ticket.

The lucky ticket, purchased at Shady Grove Beer & Wine at 15904 Shady Grove Road, matched the numbers 4, 12, 8, and 11. The winner, who had only planned to buy a Multi-Match ticket for the Feb. 20 drawing, added the Racetrax ticket on a whim and didn’t check his numbers until he got home.

Realizing his massive win in his driveway, he rushed inside to share the news with a family member. He plans to keep his winnings private, using the money to pay bills and add to his savings. Meanwhile, his Multi-Match ticket did not result in a win, but the jackpot for that game has now grown to an estimated $3.3 million.

Shady Grove Beer & Wine will receive a $1,409 bonus for selling the winning ticket, equal to 1% of the prize.
