Thief disappears after stealing property and fleeing in stolen vehicle in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – A suspect remains at large after allegedly stealing property and fleeing in a stolen vehicle in Southeast D.C.

On Sunday, February 16, at approximately 12:11 a.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of 14th Street, Southeast, to investigate a reported theft. The suspect took property before escaping in a stolen car, which has since been recovered.

Investigators have released images of the suspect and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the individual. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and indictment.
