Armed robbery at Stafford County Sheetz under investigation

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning at a Sheetz convenience store in Stafford County.

Deputies responded to the store at 1175 Garrisonville Road at approximately 2:03 a.m. after reports of a robbery at gunpoint.

The suspect, described as a Black male, entered the store and waited for another customer to leave before brandishing a firearm and demanding cash from the register. Staff complied, and the suspect fled toward the wood line on Furnace Road.

Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives with the Violent Crime Unit are leading the investigation.
