Man shot in the head and killed in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A fatal shooting in Baltimore’s Western District left a man dead early Sunday morning, prompting a homicide investigation.

At approximately 12:28 a.m. on February 23, officers responded to the 600 block of Poplar Grove Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
