Ohio Lottery player pockets $20K after scratch-off win

WILMINGTON, OH – A lucky Ohio Lottery player won $20,000 on the VIP Millions scratch-off after purchasing their ticket at J & D Market, located at 5205 US Highway 22 in Wilmington.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings of 28%, the winner will take home approximately $14,400.

VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $40,000 per year for 25 years. As of Feb. 24, 45 top prizes remain unclaimed.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education across the state.
