Philadelphia officer injured in crash with ATV rider; suspect arrested

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — A Philadelphia police officer was injured Tuesday evening after colliding with an ATV while on duty, authorities said.

At 5:27 p.m., the officer, assigned to the dirt bike detail, was traveling on 22nd Street when he struck the back of a male operating an ATV.

Responding officers transported the injured officer to Temple University Hospital, where he is expected to be treated and released.

The ATV rider was arrested at the scene.
