Woman found dead on sidewalk, Queens man charged with murder

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a woman found unconscious and unresponsive on a Queens sidewalk, police said.

On Thursday at approximately 5:22 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call near 103rd Avenue and 105th Street in the 106th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered 64-year-old Juliet Kashidas-Singh lying in front of the location. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine her cause of death.

By early Friday morning, police arrested Francisco Sevilla, 40, of Queens. He has been charged with first-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
