Police are searching for a suspect who attacked a 77-year-old man on a Brooklyn subway platform

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 77-year-old man was assaulted on a Brooklyn subway platform Friday afternoon following a brief dispute with an unidentified individual, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on the southbound L train platform at the Lorimer Street station. The suspect struck the victim multiple times in the face and body, breaking his hearing aid before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered injuries to his face, teeth, and left leg. Emergency medical services transported him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
