One Dead in Stabbing in the Bronx, Police Investigating

NEW YORK — A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in the Bronx following a verbal dispute, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:23 a.m. outside 4609 White Plains Road, within the 47th Precinct. Upon arrival, they learned that the victim had been stabbed in the abdomen by an unidentified individual who fled in an unknown vehicle heading northbound.

The victim, identified as Daniel Hammonds of Yonkers, was transported to Montefiore Medical Center by private means, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
