Staten Island man killed in Lower East Side Shooting

NEW YORK, NY — A 39-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 3:22 a.m. at 288 Elizabeth Street, where they found the victim with two gunshot wounds to the chest and one to the stomach.

Emergency medical personnel transported the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the victim as Anton Albert, 39, of Staten Island.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
