Delaware State Police investigating shooting at Bear’s Sunset Station shopping center

BEAR, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Sunset Station shopping center.

Authorities responded at approximately 10:51 a.m. to reports of shots fired at 1835 Pulaski Highway. According to the preliminary investigation, the incident began when a driver in a Chevrolet Equinox encountered three unknown males walking in the road. An argument ensued, during which the driver briefly exited his vehicle. As he got back inside, one of the males pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at the vehicle.

The Equinox was hit, but the driver was not injured. The suspects fled on foot toward a nearby neighborhood. Troopers searched the area but were unable to locate them.

Police have not yet identified the suspects, and no surveillance footage has been released.
