Gunman Sought in D.C. Broad Daylight Shooting

WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting that took place Tuesday afternoon in Northeast D.C.

At approximately 1:10 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to a report of gunfire in the 2300 block of Washington Place, Northeast. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was conscious and breathing and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not released a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to identify the shooter.
