Man Found Knocked Out in the Bronx Dies at Hospital

NEW YORK — A 59-year-old man was found unconscious with head trauma inside a Bronx building early Wednesday morning and later died at a hospital, police said.

At approximately 12:01 a.m., officers were notified that EMS had responded to a 911 call at 345 East 146th Street, within the confines of the 40th Precinct. The man was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the victim had trauma to his head and face. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
