Man injured in Early Morning Central Park Attack

NEW YORK — A man was injured Wednesday morning in Central Park after being attacked with a stick during a dispute, police said.

The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. at 70-02 East Drive. Authorities said an unidentified individual struck a 49-year-old man on the left hand before fleeing northbound inside the park.

The victim sustained an injury but refused medical attention.

Police have not released a description of the suspect as the investigation continues.
