Pickup truck rear-ends school bus in Brick Township; minor injuries reported

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A pickup truck collided with a Brick Township Public Schools bus Thursday morning after following too closely, causing a rear-end crash, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:21 a.m. in the 200 block of Cherry Quay Road. Minor injuries were reported.

Brick Township Police, EMTs, and school officials coordinated to ensure students were safely discharged to their parents or transported to school.

Authorities reminded drivers to obey speed limits and exercise caution around school buses. The investigation remains ongoing.
