Aggravated Assault Leaves One Injured in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – An aggravated assault occurred in Wilkes-Barre at approximately 2:10 PM on Saturday at 30 Hanover Street. It involved an altercation between a male and a female.

Upon their arrival, police found the male suffering from a gunshot wound on Hanover Street. The female was detained near the parking lot of the location. The injured male was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The State Police Forensics Unit was called to secure the scene, and the Wilkes-Barre Detective Division initiated the investigation with support from the Luzerne County Detective Division.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department requests any information related to the incident to be reported to their Detective Division, Care of Lieutenant Matt Stash at 570-208-0911.
