Two men arrested after drug bust, car crash near Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested two men on felony drug charges following a vehicle pursuit and crash near Millsboro on March 6.

Jerome Johnson, 52, of Rehoboth Beach, and Troy Sanders, 42, of Bridgeville, were taken into custody after fleeing from a traffic stop on John J. Williams Highway. Johnson, driving a red Ford Mustang, attempted to evade officers by pulling into a driveway on Bay Farm Road, speeding through a yard, and crashing into a tree. Both men fled on foot but were quickly apprehended.

A search of the suspects and the vehicle led to the discovery of 3.87 grams of heroin and 11.97 grams of crack cocaine. Authorities also found that Johnson had active capias warrants and a revoked driver’s license.

Johnson was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $35,501 cash bond.
