Delaware State Police investigating drive-by shooting in Seaford

SEAFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Seaford, where gunfire struck a home and a vehicle, officials said.

Troopers responded to the 20000 block of Atlanta Road at approximately 10:57 p.m. after receiving a report of shots fired.

Investigators determined that an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds from an unidentified vehicle before fleeing the scene. A residence and a car were hit, but no injuries were reported. Eight people, including a child, were inside the home at the time.

Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit has taken over the case and is working to identify the shooter.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives seek leads on the suspect and the vehicle involved.
