Four-time deported criminal alien sentenced for illegal reentry

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Mexican national with multiple prior deportations and two previous convictions for illegal reentry has been sentenced to more than a year in federal prison.

Tomas Juarez-Santos, 45, was sentenced on March 11 after pleading guilty in December 2024. He had been previously convicted for illegal reentry in 2010 and 2019.

Juarez-Santos was arrested in Collier County on September 3, 2024, on state criminal charges and was found to be in the U.S. without legal authorization. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement led the investigation.
