Maryland man wins $150K Powerball prize after previous $50K win

Man holding dollar bills roll, corruption payment, dirty money, financial fraud

WOODLAWN, MD – A Baltimore County man who has been playing the lottery for decades has won a $150,000 Powerball prize, marking his second major win.

The winner, who goes by “Winning Grandpop,” previously claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize in 2023. He purchased his latest winning ticket at Woodlawn Shell on Security Boulevard, matching four white balls and the Power Ball. His decision to add the Power Play multiplier tripled his winnings from $50,000 to $150,000.

After scanning his ticket with the Maryland Lottery app, he said he was “floored” to see his win.

He plans to use the prize money to help family members and save the rest.
