Luiz Pablo Vargas jailed for DUI, driving on revoked license in Ocean County

TOMS RIVER— A New Jersey man was booked into an Ocean County jail Monday after authorities say he was caught driving under the influence despite having a revoked license.

Luiz Pablo Vargas, 5-foot-11 and 270 pounds, was taken into custody on St. Patrick’s Day, according to inmate records. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while on the revoked list, both disorderly persons offenses under New Jersey law.

Court records show Vargas is being held on a $2,500 cash bond, which remains open as of his booking date.

Vargas is currently housed in an Ocean County facility. His projected release date is March 25, though authorities note this could change.
