Fishkill Resident Arrested for Alleged Swatting Incident

Fishkill, NY – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of Kieran T. Maddock, 41, from Fishkill, in connection with a swatting incident that occurred early morning on Tuesday. Swatting involves making a deceptive emergency call to dispatch armed police to a particular location.

Authorities responded just after 6 a.m. to a residence in East Fishkill following a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, they found no emergency, and determined the call was a prank. Further investigation led to Maddock’s arrest later that day.

Maddock faces charges of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the second degree, classified as a felony. After his processing, he was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and released, with a scheduled court appearance on April 2 at 5 p.m.

The investigation included assistance from the Town of East Fishkill Police.
