Lucky Staten Island player scores big in lottery drawing

STATEN ISLAND, NY — A TAKE 5 player in Staten Island claimed a top prize worth $33,348.50 in the March 20 evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Romi Cards & Gifts, located at 3161 Amboy Road. The TAKE 5 game draws from a field of 1 through 39 and holds two drawings daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery contributed $3.8 billion to public education in New York State in fiscal year 2023–2024, making it the largest and most profitable lottery in North America.
