Seven-week manhunt ends in arrest for deadly Biddle Street shooting

BALTIMORE, MD — A man accused of fatally shooting another during a February dispute in Southeast Baltimore has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, police said.

On March 21, investigators arrested 33-year-old Sean Lloyd of Baltimore in connection with the February 2 homicide of 37-year-old Troy Kavanaugh. The shooting occurred in the 2500 block of East Biddle Street around 3:15 p.m.

Authorities say the deadly encounter followed a dispute between the two men. Kavanaugh was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died at a local hospital.

Warrant Apprehension Detectives took Lloyd into custody without incident. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged.

The arrest follows a nearly seven-week investigation into the Southeast District shooting, which was initially triggered by a ShotSpotter alert.
