PITTSBURGH, PA A Pittsburgh man has been arrested and the mother of his child charged with hindering his apprehension.

This announcement was made by Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus.

Marquise Gibson, aged 24, has been a fugitive since last December following the issuance of three bench warrants. These warrants were related to probation violations involving charges such as aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, and firearms violations.

Detectives had information suggesting Gibson was residing at a residence on Maple Avenue in Turtle Creek with 22-year-old Jamara Hall. Two weeks ago, Hall informed detectives he was not present and was instructed to have no contact with Gibson.

On Thursday morning, shortly after 8:00 a.m., detectives returned and breached the front door upon observing movement inside. Gibson was arrested without incident, and Hall was apprehended on a charge of hindering apprehension. Both were subsequently taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
