HERMITAGE, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player scored a $234,946 payday after purchasing a top prize-winning Golden Vault Fast Play ticket at a Walmart in Mercer County, officials announced Friday.

The winning ticket was sold on March 27 at the Walmart located at 1275 North Hermitage Road in Hermitage. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the jackpot ticket.

Golden Vault is a $10 Fast Play game featuring progressive top prizes that begin at $175,000 and increase until won. Unlike traditional Scratch-Offs, Fast Play tickets are printed instantly at terminals or self-service kiosks and do not require scratching or waiting for a drawing.

The identity of the winner has not yet been revealed. Winners must claim and validate their tickets within one year of purchase. All prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.

The Pennsylvania Lottery urges players to sign the back of their tickets and call 1-800-692-7481 if they believe they have a winning ticket. March is also Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and free, confidential support is available by calling 1-800-GAMBLER or visiting pacouncil.com.
